A keynote presentation at the United Global Citizens luncheon at the Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky. An overview of the water issues in some parts of the world including California, Egypt and other West Africa. The historical timeline and the discussion of the sustainable development goals frame the issues of the global strategy for dealing with the water crisis as well as the provision of clean drinking water to underserved populations around the world. The approach and the strategy as well as the achievements and the sustainability of the waters investment made by USAID WA-WASH Program are also discussed.

Sustainability of Water investment in West Africa, WTI Water and Society Conference
This is a presentation used by Dr. Boukerrou at the 5th International Conference on Water and Society which took place in Valencia, Spain October 2 – 4, 2019. The presentation was about the sustainability of the investment made by USAID WA-WASH in West Africa two years after the completion of the field activities in Burkina Faso, Ghana and Niger. The Conference was organized by the Wessex Institute, UK and the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain. The conference, which started in Las Vegas in 2011, is well-established and attracts a substantial number of contributions from different backgrounds and countries. Water Management Best Practices and Challenges in West Africa
A presentation made to faculty and students at Larbi Ben M’hidi University of Oum El Bouaghi, Algeria. This presentation covers topics related to water management challenges in West Africa including access to clean water, water quality date from a couple of studies conducted during the implementation of the USAID WA-WASH Program in Burkina Faso, Ghana, and Niger between 2011 and 2017.
